VeSync App Guide for Your Etekcity 8-Electrode Body Composition Scale

Model: EFS-A791-KUS

With the VeSync App, you can view your measurement results, track changes in your body composition, manage multiple users, and sync supported data with third-party health platforms.

If you're just getting started, this guide walks you through the most useful features and everyday settings.

Before You Start

Before using the features in this guide, make sure your scale is connected to the VeSync App.

  1. Download and open the VeSync App.
  2. Sign in to your VeSync account.
  3. Add your Etekcity scale in the app.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection.

Once the scale is connected, you can view your measurements, manage Members, and access the other features covered below.

1. Understand Your Measurement Data

1.1 View Your Measurement Results and Reports

After completing a measurement, your latest results will appear on the scale’s Dashboard page in the VeSync App.

From the Dashboard, you can tap Body Composition to view detailed data for individual metrics, such as Body Fat, along with their historical data and trend charts.

You can also tap Physical Index Report to view a more comprehensive report, including detailed body analysis and segmental data for different areas of the body.

To access these results:

  1. Open the VeSync App.
  2. Go to Home and select your scale.
  3. Open the Dashboard page.
  4. Tap Physical Index Report or Body Composition, depending on the type of data you want to view.

1.2 Why Isn’t My Measurement Showing in the App?

If the scale is not connected to the VeSync App during a measurement, the data will be stored locally on the scale.

To upload previously stored measurements, reconnect the scale to the VeSync App and make sure your phone has an active internet connection.

1.3 Does My Data Sync to My Phone or My VeSync Account?

Measurement data is linked to your VeSync account, not to a specific phone.

For example, if you take a measurement using one phone and later sign in to the same VeSync account on another phone, you can still access the measurement data associated with that account.

In short, your measurement data follows your VeSync account, rather than the phone you use to access it.

2. Set Up and Manage Multiple Users

The scale is designed to support multiple users, making it easier for family members or household members to keep their measurements separate.

A VeSync account is the account you sign in to with your email address, while a Member is an individual measurement profile created within that account.

One scale can connect to up to 5 VeSync accounts, and each account can have up to 10 Members.

2.1 Add a New Member

To create a new Member:

  1. Tap the profile icon on the Dashboard page.
  2. Open Select Member.
  3. Tap the “+” icon in the upper-right corner.
  4. Enter the Member’s information and complete the setup.

2.2 Switch Between Members

If your VeSync account has multiple Members, you can switch between them at any time.

  1. Tap the profile icon on the Dashboard page.
  2. Open Select Member.
  3. Select the Member you want to view.

The app will then display the measurement data associated with that Member.

2.3 How Does the Scale Identify the User?

After the measurement is complete, the scale matches the result to a Member based on the measured weight.

  • If only one Member is a clear match, the result will be assigned automatically.
  • If multiple Members could match, the scale will prompt you to select the correct Member on the scale after the measurement is complete.

This step is important because Member information, such as age, sex, and height, is used to calculate body composition results.

3. Fix or Manage Your Measurement History

VeSync lets you reassign, delete, or download measurement records directly from the History page.

3.1 Delete, Download, or Reassign Data

If you want to remove an incorrect measurement, export your data, or reassign a measurement to the correct Member:

  1. Tap the History icon on the scale’s Dashboard page.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu (•••) in the upper-right corner.
  3. Select the option you need:
    • Delete Data to remove incorrect measurements
    • Download Data to export measurement records
    • Assign Data to reassign a measurement to the correct Member
  4. Select the measurement records you want to manage and follow the on-screen instructions.

4. Use Special Measurement Modes and Goals

VeSync also gives you access to additional settings for different measurement needs.

4.1 Set or Change Your Weight Goal

To set a new weight goal or update your existing goal:

  1. Open the Dashboard page.
  2. Tap My Goal.
  3. Set or update your target weight.

4.2 Use Zero-Current Mode

Zero-Current Mode allows you to take measurements without using BIA current. When enabled, the scale provides weight and BMI only and does not perform body composition analysis.

When Should I Use Zero-Current Mode?

Zero-Current Mode is intended for users who should avoid BIA current, including those who are pregnant or have an implanted medical device, such as a pacemaker.

To turn Zero-Current Mode on or off:

  1. Scroll down on the Dashboard page.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Select Zero-Current Mode.
  4. Turn it on or off as needed.

4.3 Weigh a Baby or Pet

Use Baby Mode to weigh a baby or pet.

  1. Open the Dashboard page.
  2. Find Baby Mode below the weight chart.
  3. Tap Baby Mode and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the measurement.

5. Sync Data with Third-Party Health Apps

You can manage data syncing with supported third-party health and fitness apps, including Apple Health, Fitbit, Health Connect, MyFitnessPal, and Samsung Health.

  1. Scroll down on the Dashboard page.
  2. Tap Third Party Services.
  3. Select the service you want to connect and follow the on-screen instructions.

The scale does not connect directly to third-party apps. Measurement data is synced through VeSync before being shared with supported third-party services.

6. Get Help or Contact Support

If you need help with your scale or the VeSync app, you can contact support directly through the VeSync app.

  1. Open the More page in the VeSync app.
  2. Tap Help & Feedback.
  3. Under Device FAQs, tap your device icon.
  4. On the Feedback page, select the relevant question category and question type.
  5. Enter your purchase method and email address.
  6. Describe the issue in the Description field and add any relevant details.
  7. Tap Submit Feedback.
